Niners museum has literally covered up the Harbaugh era. This was once a Harbaugh plaque. pic.twitter.com/kLcK5Pxt2H

We all know that Jim Harbaugh left the 49ers organization on acrimonious terms despite whatever either party might have said about mutually agreeing to part ways. One good way for an organization to nurse a grudge is by removing any mention of a former employee from the telling of its own history.
And so people are a little suspicious that mentions of Jim Harbaugh are being scrubbed the 49ers’ team museum. One plaque dedicated to Harbs has been covered. An exhibit about Harbs’ khakis has been replaced with something about Justin Smith and Frank Gore, who may also not be a 49er soon.
Apparently all that remains of Harbs there is a plaque mentioning his NFL records and a photo of him with Bo Schembechler. I can kind of see where the team is coming from. If the Niners really wanted to omit Harbaugh from their history, they probably would have gone whole hog with it. Harbaugh isn’t their coach anymore. From the team’s standpoint, it makes sense not to make too much of a big deal about someone no longer coaching the team, especially if they left on bad terms. Besides, they definitely need to leave room for the exhibit celebrating the time Jim Tomsula lived in his car.
